Week Five: Checking in
Great Job! You’ve made it through the first month. I hope that you’re continuing to refer to your family values/ rights/ expectations.
I hope you’ve all become more comfortable identifying and interacting with untrue and incomplete narratives. Don’t stop once the week is over.
I hope you’ve all grown closer through active, value-based praise. Let this become a habit as well.
This week, while you keep up the work of the past month, you will be working by yourself in your journal entry.
The Exercise
Go back and look at your initial journal entry. Take your time with it.
What stands out? What strikes a chord? How honest were you?
Think about how the month has gone. What has surprised you? What has inspired you? What hurt? Why?
How are your relationships changing? Are things changing as you anticipated? Why or why not?
Do you feel supported or sabotaged?
What do you hope for the month to come? How will you participate in making it happen?
Any other thoughts?
See you next week.
