Camp Hope Loveland – How Did We Let This Happen?

As I work to continue to unravel the incredible injustices that continue to take place under the guise of a town known for making Valentine’s mail feel special, I’m continually shocked by the overwhelming lack of morality toward people who are hurting, people who have been displaced over and over and over again, people who need our love the most.

If you watch the media, you hear a “balanced report,” saying the community is concerned but businesses are tired of the ongoing safety threat.

  • There were so many LOCAL BUSINESSES supporting this population through the initial crisis.
  • At the highly-volatile special meeting, I did hear a few hate-fueled business owners throw around hurtful rhetoric and false claims. This is not the same as a lived experience. The few lived experiences offered were inflated, and overshadowed by the rhetoric they were pushing. As I continue to pull up details about this, I will leave it to you to determine which is the majority.
  • At the following meeting I heard an ongoing stream of compassion, and calls for a solution and the prioritization of caring for the most vulnerable members of our community.
  • I also heard 2 calls for eradication of human beings using eugenic tropes.

I’ll be posting clips as soon as I can get to it.

You Decide

There are some interesting connections in Loveland that have enabled and covered up this ongoing human rights violation.

Pay attention to the critical questions.
Who benefits?
Who is hurt?
Can it be solved?
Why isn’t it being solved?

Ask your own questions. Question the answers you get.

I can fully accept that I’m likely not right about everything- I don’t have to be perfect for this systemic abuse to be real. They have made it confusing and difficult to unravel on purpose. I think that’s part of why the news has been so reluctant to get into this. It won’t make sense until it does. It’s so important that we all start asking questions until the answers make sense.

Oh, and while it wasn’t used to write THIS post, I do use Copilot to answer my questions. If you question the results (which I frequently challenge) I encourage you to listen to what your gut is telling you and start asking questions about it.
