Life or Death – Part Two
This email is from another volunteer who has been working tirelessly since the emergence of Camp Hope.

What in God’s name are you two doing? Inclement weather is here. Vouchers are few and hard to come by. I hear that last night, two banned LRC residents were ticketed and another one told by the police officer that he does not even care about them. The two who were ticketed spent part of the night in a portacan to stay alive. Alison Hade is showing a drastic shift in her mental capacity, including lying, withholding vouchers, and being unable to answer even the simplest of questions. She could very well be in the midst of a mental breakdown at this time, and I suggest you have a doctor check on her well being, not kidding.
Jim, you have proven to be a disgrace to your position as city manager. You have been incompetent and even intentionally hurtful to Loveland’s homeless population through out the last couple of months. The weather will only get worse and you are responsible for keeping the people of this city safe! That is your job and priority NOW!
Tim, you have also proved yourself to be a disgrace to your badge. You have no humility, as you like to preach any chance you get. You are intentionally commanding your officers to harass, belittle, and cite or ticket the homeless on our streets. You should be as ashamed of yourself, just as much as many of the people you vowed to protect are ashamed of you. I honestly have no clue as to what kind of Christian you consider yourself to be. I am personally a Catholic and I know countless others who are Christian. The majority of us consider helping the poor and unfortunate to be our religious duty. The only thing positive that I have going for me during this police misuse of authority that you are leading, is that when the day comes that God calls you home, Tim, he will be sending you straight to hell to burn for eternity. However, you do still have the chance to repent and make this situation right by God. I pray that you will.
Both of you still have the chance to do the right and humane thing. These are human beings you are targeting. Do better.
-Stop the senseless harrasment, tickets, and arrests by our police department.
– Hand out the motel vouchers that are available and in the city’s budget.
-Get a hold of your LRC staff and stop the ridiculous banning for petty, made up offenses.
– Start showing that our city leadership is able to show empathy and compassion for fellow human beings.
-Prevent death by the elements.
SHOW YOURSELVES TO BE THE LEADERS THAT YOU WERE HIRED TO BE
And remember, always remember, you work for us. You are employed by us. You are supposed to answer to us. As we are above you.
