City of Loveland Lies Exposed: Audio Release Provides Transparency

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
 Loveland, CO — December 3, 2025

Loveland’s unhoused community and their advocates are demanding accountability and transparency from a city government that has repeatedly hidden behind contradictions, misinformation, and closed-door decision-making.

Recent audio recordings and documented interactions reveal disturbing practices: arbitrary rule enforcement at the Loveland Resource Center, discriminatory treatment of residents with disabilities, and deliberate targeting of volunteers who step in to fill the gaps left by City inaction.

The City has denied targeting the unhoused, yet its own representatives openly discuss strategies to criminalize and exclude them. Advocates have been barred from providing food, clothing, and care, while residents are subjected to unsafe and degrading conditions.

Transparency is not optional. The public deserves to know:

  • How COVID relief funds were spent, and why they were not used to build lasting infrastructure.
  • Why emergency vouchers are prioritized over permanent shelter solutions.
  • How City employees who engage in unethical practices are held accountable.

With a new City Council sworn in last night, Loveland has an opportunity to break from the failures of the past. But the City Manager remains unchanged, and the culture of secrecy persists.

“If one of us has no rights, none of us have rights,” said one advocate, underscoring the urgency of reform.

The community will not accept silence or deflection. It is time for Loveland’s leadership to answer directly to the people they serve.
